Heartland Supports 2025 Christmas for Kids Toy Run

Heartland Disposal was proud to provide portable toilets to the 2025 Christmas for Kids Toy Run, a wonderful annual event that kicks off the Christmas hamper campaigns of both the Spruce Grove Kinettes and the Stony Plain Kinsmen.

The event, organized by UBAKA – Urban Bulldogs Against Kid Abuse and Bullying Enns, is a 150-kilometre motorcycle parade that starts and ends at Rotary Park in Stony Plain. Held on September 14, 2025, riders from across the region rode in support of local families in need.  The Run has been providing Christmas happiness for children and families since 2009.

A Season of Giving

Thanks to the Toy Run and other fundraising efforts, the Kinettes provided $96,925 in grocery gift cards and supported 785 local families in 2025. 825 children received toys and gifts for Christmas morning, including $12,750 in teen-specific gift cards.

On the Stony Plain side, the Kinsmen Club helped provide Christmas hampers to 550 families in Stony Plain and Parkland County, reaching a total of 1,800 individuals. Of those, 375 families received a full hamper, and 850 children under 17 received gifts. All of this was made possible by more than 2,800 volunteer hours contributed by dedicated Kinsmen members and supporters.
